Got a story that belongs on a Norwich stage? We’d love to read it.

Drama Mavericks CIC is inviting playwrights from Norwich and across Norfolk to send us 5 pages from a play you’ve finished or are currently writing. We welcome roles for young people, adults, or a mix of both - and we’re especially excited by work that connects with Norwich and Norfolk in any way (place, people, themes, or spirit).

What’s on offer:

Selected writers will see their whole play performed at the Norwich Puppet Theatre as part of our 2026 programme celebrating local voices and new writing.

How to submit (simple!):

• Send up to 5 pages from your play (PDF or Word)

• Include a short paragraph about you and the piece (50–150 words)

• Optional: tell us how your play links to Norwich/Norfolk

• Email everything to david@dramamavericks.co.uk

Deadline:

Sunday 1 February 2026 (midnight)

Good to know:

• No submission fee

• All genres and experience levels welcome

• Please use a readable font (e.g., 12pt) and number your pages

• If your extract grabs us, we’ll ask to read the full script!
