Norwich has a substantial market for professional theatre. But much of the professional theatre its audiences see is made somewhere else.

We’re asking how more professional theatre can begin in Norwich, create paid opportunities here and, when it works, go on to audiences elsewhere.

It’s not an argument for less touring theatre. It’s about balance: helping more work move from development intoo properly funded production while learning from cities such as Sheffield and Nottingham, where receiving and making theatre sit side by side.
